Seit 2005 präsentiert Matching Ties ihre beliebten “Irish Folk Nights”. Die Zuschauer erleben hier „Matching Ties“ zusammen mit  irische Tanzgruppe „O´Brannlaig Rinceoir Irish Dancers” die sie live begleiten in einen unvergesslichen Abend der Tanz und Musik Irlands. Bei manchen Irish Nights wird eine 2. Band aus Irland, Großbritannien oder besten Bands hierzulande eingeladen.

Die „O´Brannlaig Rinceoir Irish Dancers” sind junge, talentierte Tänzer-innen unter der Leitung von der irisch-englische Meisterlehrerin Elaine Walker und Präsidentin der World Irish Dance Association  (WIDA). Sie wurden Weltmeister in 2015 und haben aktuell hochplatzierte Tänzer-innen in der WM des irischen Tanzes. Obwohl der Tanz schon so „alt“ ist (Ursprung bei den Kelten), ist Irish Dance nicht zuletzt durch Tanzshows wie Riverdance und Lord of the Dance eine moderne Tanzform geworden, die sich bis heute immer weiter entwickelt zu einer der anspruchsvollste und flotteste Formen von Folktanzes. Schnelle Schritte und fliegenden Beinen die durch die Luft wirbeln gehören genauso zu dieser Form Tanz wie die elegante „Ballett des irischen Tanzes“ die Soft -Shoe Nummern. Die Matching Ties Irish Folk Night verzichtet auf übertriebene Show-Elemente mit Ansager, kommerzielle, elektronische oder stilfremde Musik und ständiges Kostümwechsel und konzentriert sich auf die Kunst und Wesen der irische Musik und Tanz. Songs auch von der schottische und englische Folktraditionen wechseln mit kreativ choreografierten Tanz-Nummern ab die immer große Szenenapplaus fordert.

Since 2005 Matching Ties presents their well-loved Irish Folk Night in which they accompany the “O’Brannlaig Rinceoir Irish Dancers” in an unforgettable evening of the music and dance of Ireland.

On occasion they are joined by a second band from Ireland or the UK or by one of the best bands folk bands in Germany. The “O’Brannlaig Rinceoir Irish Dancers” under the direction of the Irish/English master teacher and president of the World of Irish Dance Association (WIDA) Elaine Walker were World Champions in 2015. Her dancers always place in the top 10 at the Worlds. Although this highly

skilled and exciting form of folk dance is very old, it became popular throughout the world though the success of Riverdance and Lord of The Dance and continues to develope and evolve. Fast and furious footwork, legs flying through the air belong as much to Irish dance as the elegant “ballet of Irish dance“, the soft shoe numbers. The Matching Ties Irish Folk Night concentrates on the essence and skills of Irish dance, doing without overdone show elements like narration, costume changes, electronic music or music that does not fit stylistically. Creatively choreographed dance numbers performed at a high level of skill always draw hearty applause. Between dance numbers Matching Ties plays songs from the Irish and also the English and Scottish tradition to allow dancers and audience to catch their breath.
